The Joint Industry Program (JIP) is an effort by petroleum and chemical companies for collecting information on the costs associated with the construction of major industry facilities. Surveys are conducted worldwide of process, fabrication and marine contractors. Included are home office engineering, field construction and materials costs, as well as measures of contractor business activity.
